As lawyers, Jacques Robert and Gabrielle Robert are commissioners of oaths.

Our office offers notary and commissioner of oaths services starting at $100.00 + HST.  Always call for a quote if you need a document drafted or more than a simple signature. We may also ask you to send a copy of the document either by email or facsimile for our review before quoting.

For your appointment, please ensure to bring two (2) pieces of identification, at least one with a photo and one with a signature. Acceptable ids include: driver`s licence, credit card, birth certificate, passport and citizenship card. All of which, of course, must not be expired.

Please note that we do not provide legal advice on the documents being notarized.

Please contact us now by e-mail or telephone to book an appointment. Same day appointments are available.

Certified True Copy

A certified true copy is a photocopy of a primary document which the lawyer certifies as being a true copy of the original.

It is important to note that certifying a document as a true copy does not certify that the primary document is genuine, only that it is a true copy of the primary document.

Certified true copies are often required for court purposes, application to universities, and in commercial transactions.

Children Travel Consent Letters

When travelling abroad with children, the federal government “strongly recommends” that they “carry a consent letter from every person with the legal right to make major decisions on their behalf, if that person is not accompanying the children on the trip.” A sample consent letter can be found on the government of Canada website by clicking here.

The government also highlights that this travel letter should be notarized. We provide notarial services for this standard consent letter for $100.00 + HST. Please note however that a consent letter does not guarantee the child’s entry into a foreign state. It is important that you contact a representative of the country/tries that you are visiting in order to determine their requirements.
